What We Offer
Neighbors Helping Neighbors:
Carefully screened volunteers from the community will handle work you don't want to do or you would like some help doing, such as light home maintenance and chores. They will also be happy to make friendly visits, phone call check-ins, help you with electronic devices, pet sitting, and provide rides for errands, medical appointments, and GLCV monthly social events such as Lunch Bunch and the "Village Happening Sessions", which are information sessions held locally covering a variety of interesting topics.
We can refer handy-persons, electricians, plumbers, gardeners, personal care assistants, computer technicians and others. Our vendors are established business persons in the community who have been individually screened and have successfully completed a reference and background check.
One Stop Shopping:
One call to the GLCV office (302-703-2568) matches the member with appropriate volunteers and/or vendors. Our office located in the Blue House on 225 Schley Avenue in Lewes is open from 10:00am-4:00pm Monday through Friday.
